Kids Valentines Day Cards for the Classroom

I love Valentine's day.  There's something about the hearts and colors of pink and purple.  Not to mention all the sugar and confections.  It's a very girly holiday.   And if you have kids it can get busy, especially when you have to buy classroom cards for school.  I designed a card that's fun for girls to hand out.  No envelope needed, you fold the card into a cute square.  It looks like a letter with a LOVE stamp and postmark.  You can personalize the inside with a photo and short message.

And here's a link to the product page:

There is a flap that folds over and you secure the card with tape or a sticker. If you prefer to just fold the card in half, I also have a design that's a rectangle:

If you're shopping for boys, there is a design I created for my sons last year.  I ordered more to use again for this year.

You can hand them out as a postcard or mail them out.  You can also buy envelopes. Amazon has a set that is inexpensive, $4.99 and free shipping with Prime membership. Click here for the link to the envelopes.

Postcards make great Valentines for kids.  Zazzle recently had a big sale on cards so I ordered a bunch for my sons.  Here are some of the designs I picked out:

My oldest son is into Angry Birds and one of his favorites is Blue Bird. I found a couple that look like him, he'll be happy to hand these out.  For this design I customized it by enlarging the image to get rid of the black border on each side.

I was able to delete the pink background with white polka dots.  I replaced it with a red background.  The great thing about these postcards is that you can type in a message such as "Happy Valentine's Day From Joshua".  It saves your child from writing in each one.  And if you have 25 of them it's a real time saver, especially if you have more than one child.  Leftover cards?  Just save them for next year!

Zazzle Large Giant Greeting Cards

Zazzle recently introduced a new size for its line of greeting cards.  You can now buy them in a large 8.5" x 11" size!  I bought one to give to my husband for his anniversary:

It's hard to gauge its size by the photo above.  So for comparisons sake I took another photo to show the note card, greeting card and large card:

These large cards are great for many uses.  You can have a photo of your baby and send it off to the grandparents.  The large size even makes it great for framing.

If this is your first year of marriage these cards are also great for showcasing the wedding photos:

If you're giving a group gift, the large card provides plenty of space for everyone to sign and write a short message.  Here's a card that would be great for a group gift:

American Apparel Cotton Scarf

Zazzle recently introduced a line of scarves from American Apparel.  They're made from a pre-shrunk jersey cotton with raw unfinished edges.  I designed a simple one with chevron stripes and ordered one for my niece:

Here's the product on Zazzle:

I added her school name and year.  These scarves are great for showing school pride, something she can wear to football games.  I added chevron stripes for style and tried to match to her school colors.  The blue came out slightly different than what I was expecting, but I think she'll love it.  Because it's cotton it's not going to provide warmth like a wool scarf would.  But these scarves are a generous size, as you can see in my photos they go almost the width of the chair and they are also fairly long to wrap around the neck.  These scarves would make great gifts for teens and college students.

Ceramic Ornaments

My goal was to post once a week, but with the holidays around the corner I decided to step it up.  Did you know Zazzle sells personalized ceramic ornaments?  I ordered one with my son's baby photo on it:

Here is the product page so you can compare:

The product page says 2.87 inches but I didn't realize how big that was until I got it. I placed a quarter next to the ornament so you can gauge its size.  The colors are more vibrant than the product page, it turned out really nice.   The product page also shows the ornament hanging from a cord.  Just FYI the ornament did not come with one, but that's an easy fix.  Just find a nice red ribbon and hang it up.

I also took a photo of its thickness so you can see:

I include this photo because I was under the impression that the ornament would have sharp edges.  Not that I wanted one, but from the product page photos it's hard to tell.

As with all Zazzle products you can personalize the ornament. I chose to keep it simple and have the year 2008 when my son was born.  But you can have much more on your ornament.  Just check out these other designs to see what Zazzle has to offer:

Zazzle Personalized Custom Gift Wrap

Zazzle recently introduced a new product - gift wrap.  With the holidays around the corner this has become a popular product.  Who wouldn't be tickled to see photos of their baby, family or pets on a gift wrap?  It's so much fun!  Of course I couldn't resist buying a roll.  I've always admired the artwork of Lucia Salemi and she put her colorful designs on gift wrap.  As soon as I found out I placed an order. Here is the product page and my photos so you can compare:

As you can see from the photo above, the gift wrapping paper comes in a sturdy cardboard tube.  I just bought the regular wrap but you can also order a linen or photo gloss paper.  Other designers have come up with beautiful designs where you can place your photos:

Zazzle recently had a fifty percent off sale, if you sign up for their email list you can be notified of the next one. Overall I love the gift wrap, it adds a nice personal touch to gifts.  Be sure you order as soon as you can, with the busy holiday season it can take 5-7 business days to produce and another few days for shipping.

Zazzle 4 x 8 Photo Cards

Welcome to my blog.  I'm a designer for Zazzle and thought it would be helpful show you real photos of their products.  Sometimes it's hard to tell what you're getting when you look at the computer screen.

My first product review will be the photo cards.  Zazzle offers them in a 4 x 8 inch size.  I always wondered how they compared to the drugstore variety.  So I ordered a set (minimum order is 10), and I really liked the results.  I like the thickness of the card, it's not flimsy in the least.  I also like the glossiness (if there is such a word).  The price is very reasonable at around a dollar per card, sometimes Zazzle has a 50% off sale so it becomes a really good deal.  Be sure to sign up and receive their emails so you can take advantage of their sales.

The design I ordered was one of my very own.  It's a simple Christmas Nativity silhouette against a dark blue background.

Below is the product link as well as the photos I took so you could get a close-up.
