Teacher Appreciation End of Year Gift Idea

The school year is coming to an end and I decided to give the teachers something fun.  I put together a beach bag with a towel, flip flops, hat, drinking cup and vacation countdown calendar.  These fun calendars have seven pieces of chocolate and I picked out one with a tropical beach vacation theme.

I personalized the front to say Thanks for a Great Year. That's the great thing about these Zazzle products, they're easy to customize and personalize with your own message. It was a hit and the teachers LOVED it!

Father's Day Gift Ideas

Father's Day is coming up and I thought I'd post some fun gift ideas.  I've already given out the mugs and t-shirts, here is one item I found and I think grandpa will love it.  He comes from a military background so this design is so perfect with a touch of humor.

Zazzle also offers a ton of greeting cards and you can personalize them with photos and your own words.  Here are some that I ordered for this year:

Gift ideas for Moms and Grandmas

Mother's Day is around the corner. Instead of getting the Best Mom Ever or Number One Mom gifts, I decided to come up with something more personal. My mother-in-law loves sunflowers and the grandkids so I came up with this fun pillow. Here is the front and back:

The front says "A Garden of Love Grows in a Grandma's Heart". The back says "An grandma is like an angel who takes you under her wing, she prays and watches over you and she'd give you anything". You can customize both sides with your own wording, especially if you want to change Grandma to Mom, Mother, Mommy, Gigi, Nana or Mimi.

Like the design but don't want to give her a pillow? It's also available on eight other products including a necklace, apron, mug or tote bag:

Zazzle Personalized Valentine Candy Tins

A while back Zazzle introduced a line of candy tins you can personalize with photos and text.  They're great for a variety of uses including weddings, baby showers and holidays.  I ordered a couple valentine designs, here's a photo:

And here are the product pages so you can compare the graphics quality:

The rainbow design is fairly true-to-screen in terms of color.  The other design however turned out a little different.  Instead of tones of pink and purple, it was more red.  I'm not sure what happened there, Zazzle is usually spot on.  But it still looks great, there's nothing more Valentine than hearts, red and pink.

The order took about a week to reach me, so if you're planning to order for Valentine's day there's plenty of time.  Check out some other fun designs for candy tins, they come in a variety of shapes and your choice of Twenty One candy flavors.

Zazzle Valentine Cards and Invitations

Valentine's Day is coming upon us and Zazzle has awesome invitations and cards, the best part (in addition to great design) is that you can personalize them.  I received the postcards I ordered, here is a collage snapshot. To see the links to these designs check out my previous post on classroom cards for kids.

My sons are all set to hand these out on Valentine's Day.  If you're looking for invitations or greeting cards there are plenty to choose from.  Here are some of my favorites:

Custom Make Your Own Chocolate Bars

Zazzle has partnered with Chocomize to offer a chocolate bar you can create!  There are over 300 possible combinations.  You start with a base of either white, milk or dark chocolate.  I created a milk chocolate bar with teddy grahams, mini m&m's, praline peanuts and marshmallows.  I also create a bar with dark chocolate, macadamia nuts, coconut and banana chips.  There are so many fun toppings, these would be great for Valentine's Day or chocolate aficionados.

Click here to create your own chocolate bar.  I heard it can be expensive to ship the bars.  Tip: If you sign up for their Zazzle black for $25, you get free shipping for a year.  There's even a 30 day trial if you're not sure about it.

Kids Valentines Day Cards for the Classroom

I love Valentine's day.  There's something about the hearts and colors of pink and purple.  Not to mention all the sugar and confections.  It's a very girly holiday.   And if you have kids it can get busy, especially when you have to buy classroom cards for school.  I designed a card that's fun for girls to hand out.  No envelope needed, you fold the card into a cute square.  It looks like a letter with a LOVE stamp and postmark.  You can personalize the inside with a photo and short message.

And here's a link to the product page:

There is a flap that folds over and you secure the card with tape or a sticker. If you prefer to just fold the card in half, I also have a design that's a rectangle:

If you're shopping for boys, there is a design I created for my sons last year.  I ordered more to use again for this year.

Postcards make great Valentines for kids.  Zazzle recently had a big sale on cards so I ordered a bunch for my sons.  Here are some of the designs I picked out:

My oldest son is into Angry Birds and one of his favorites is Blue Bird. I found a couple that look like him, he'll be happy to hand these out.  For this design I customized it by enlarging the image to get rid of the black border on each side.

I was able to delete the pink background with white polka dots.  I replaced it with a red background.  The great thing about these postcards is that you can type in a message such as "Happy Valentine's Day From Joshua".  It saves your child from writing in each one.  And if you have 25 of them it's a real time saver, especially if you have more than one child.  Leftover cards?  Just save them for next year!

Zazzle Large Giant Greeting Cards

Zazzle recently introduced a new size for its line of greeting cards.  You can now buy them in a large 8.5" x 11" size!  I bought one to give to my husband for his anniversary:

It's hard to gauge its size by the photo above.  So for comparisons sake I took another photo to show the note card, greeting card and large card:

These large cards are great for many uses.  You can have a photo of your baby and send it off to the grandparents.  The large size even makes it great for framing.

American Apparel Cotton Scarf

Zazzle recently introduced a line of scarves from American Apparel.  They're made from a pre-shrunk jersey cotton with raw unfinished edges.  I designed a simple one with chevron stripes and ordered one for my niece:

Here's the product on Zazzle:

Chevron Blue White School Pride Spirit Scarf by adams_apple

Browse Blue Scarves online at Zazzle.com

I added her school name and year.  These scarves are great for showing school pride, something she can wear to football games.  I added chevron stripes for style and tried to match to her school colors.  The blue came out slightly different than what I was expecting, but I think she'll love it.  Because it's cotton it's not going to provide warmth like a wool scarf would.  But these scarves are a generous size, as you can see in my photos they go almost the width of the chair and they are also fairly long to wrap around the neck.  These scarves would make great gifts for teens and college students.
