Teacher Appreciation End of Year Gift Idea

The school year is coming to an end and I decided to give the teachers something fun.  I put together a beach bag with a towel, flip flops, hat, drinking cup and vacation countdown calendar.  These fun calendars have seven pieces of chocolate and I picked out one with a tropical beach vacation theme.

Gift ideas for Moms and Grandmas

Mother's Day is around the corner. Instead of getting the Best Mom Ever or Number One Mom gifts, I decided to come up with something more personal. My mother-in-law loves sunflowers and the grandkids so I came up with this fun pillow. Here is the front and back:

The front says "A Garden of Love Grows in a Grandma's Heart". The back says "An grandma is like an angel who takes you under her wing, she prays and watches over you and she'd give you anything". You can customize both sides with your own wording, especially if you want to change Grandma to Mom, Mother, Mommy, Gigi, Nana or Mimi.

Zazzle Personalized Valentine Candy Tins

A while back Zazzle introduced a line of candy tins you can personalize with photos and text.  They're great for a variety of uses including weddings, baby showers and holidays.  I ordered a couple valentine designs, here's a photo:

The rainbow design is fairly true-to-screen in terms of color.  The other design however turned out a little different.  Instead of tones of pink and purple, it was more red.  I'm not sure what happened there, Zazzle is usually spot on.  But it still looks great, there's nothing more Valentine than hearts, red and pink.  

 

The order took about a week to reach me, so if you're planning to order for Valentine's day there's plenty of time.  Check out some other fun designs for candy tins, they come in a variety of shapes and your choice of Twenty One candy flavors.

Custom Make Your Own Chocolate Bars

Zazzle has partnered with Chocomize to offer a chocolate bar you can create!  There are over 300 possible combinations.  You start with a base of either white, milk or dark chocolate.  I created a milk chocolate bar with teddy grahams, mini m&m's, praline peanuts and marshmallows.  I also create a bar with dark chocolate, macadamia nuts, coconut and banana chips.  There are so many fun toppings, these would be great for Valentine's Day or chocolate aficionados.

Kids Valentines Day Cards for the Classroom

I love Valentine's day.  There's something about the hearts and colors of pink and purple.  Not to mention all the sugar and confections.  It's a very girly holiday.   And if you have kids it can get busy, especially when you have to buy classroom cards for school.  I designed a card that's fun for girls to hand out.  No envelope needed, you fold the card into a cute square.  It looks like a letter with a LOVE stamp and postmark.  You can personalize the inside with a photo and short message.

My oldest son is into Angry Birds and one of his favorites is Blue Bird. I found a couple that look like him, he'll be happy to hand these out.  For this design I customized it by enlarging the image to get rid of the black border on each side.

I was able to delete the pink background with white polka dots.  I replaced it with a red background.  The great thing about these postcards is that you can type in a message such as "Happy Valentine's Day From Joshua".  It saves your child from writing in each one.  And if you have 25 of them it's a real time saver, especially if you have more than one child.  Leftover cards?  Just save them for next year!
